Dispensaries / Collectives

Ballot measure #8 does not establish laws regarding dispensaries, dispensaries are not the intention behind Alaska medical marijuana laws. However, patients do have the option to cultivate their own medical marijuana, or to designate a primary caregiver to assist in growing medical cannabis. Medical Marijuana caregivers must register with the state. They may provide the same limit of plant and product per patient they care for. Caregivers may have up to one (1) patient in their care at any one time, unless caring for their own family as well. Caregivers must be 21 years of age or over, with no past felony convictions, and cannot currently be on parole or probation in their county or any other county. Alaska patients have the right to list one (1) primary caregiver, and one (1) alternate caregiver on their state application.
